VP/Commercial Real Estate Banker
Bell Bank makes it easy to do my job as a commercial real estate banker. Our leaders provide real-time feedback – and we work closely as a team with our credit group and support staff. That facilitates a great “flow” for commercial deals.
It’s very satisfying to see clients use our financing to create successful commercial real estate (CRE) projects. I cultivate CRE relationships with credit needs typically ranging from $1 million to $10 million per project. I help businesses through my expertise in several areas of CRE – ground-up development and construction, value-add loans, and stabilized property – as well as refinance and acquisitions.
I’m originally from McFarland, Wisc., and earned my bachelor’s degree from UW – LaCrosse. With nearly 2 decades in the field, I’ve been in both commercial and consumer finance. Working in commercial finance at the start of the Great Recession taught all of us lessons in what not to do. Bell strives to keep a steady credit appetite during both good times and bad.
My wife, Wendy, and I live in Lakeville, Minn., with our 2 children and rescue Lab/hound. Outside of work, I spend time with family and friends, and I play as much golf as possible between yardwork and house projects.
